Nice cup! :)

I just hope ASP is not turning to a 3D app with 2D capabilities over time!

Don't worry, 3d options are here to make easier some things to 2d animators. And... anyway, a 3d software with the AS structure doesn't sound bad

Hey, Baker, it's a good cup (actually my first test with lathe 3d was a coup too, bout yours is nicer ). Seeing your coup I thought. What about a textured coup? So I opened a window to add a texture to the stroke, but it opens on my videos folder so I thought what a about a video textured 3d coup?

And here is the result.

Does to me, if I wanted a 3D package, I would have stuck with Softimage. :)

Let's not forget that ASP is a 2D, and I mean a great 2D package. To me, to include more advanced 3D tools in it is denaturing it and putting valuable Mike time off of much needed 2D tools.

To have basic Poser integration is not usefull since you cant get hight quality 3D animation in ASP. Just render in a 3D package, like Blender, then compose both 3D and 2D

To be able to create basic 3D shapes is fun, but how much diffrent is it from importing 3D objects.

What I would have liked is a 3D gizmo, so I could build real 3D decors inside of ASP. Also, Z-Depth for control points would have been usefull.

Look at the True Vision clip on this page to see what I mean.

Sorry about taking over your post Mister Baker! :)

I realize that not everyone's happy with the 3D features in AS7, but yes, you can video texture 3D objects. If you apply an Image Texture fill effect to the profile curve of the cup, and select a movie as the image texture, then boom: video textured 3D cup. Example:

I was solely intending to be funny, because the example is certainly not an ordinary goal.

If you're referring to my other post, the issue is that in order to use the new Poser content features you apparently need an additional license for Poser. It would be as undesired a feature for me as if importing .psd content required a photoshop license.

Not that there's anything wrong with cross selling ...
