how do i can make dissolve an object?

that comes and goes dissolving, as when an explosion ends..which slowly disappears, vanishes, or make it appear out of nowhere..Thanks!

Layer tab, opacity. Default is 100%, 0% would be invisible. You first click "allow animated layer effects", then create a key for 0%, then, on a different frame, a key for 100%.

thank you very much for your help...but I don't have the new version, I have the previous anime studio 5... how do i make the vanishing effect in anime studio 5? and thanks for your help
