3D objects problem

Hi!
I noticed some annoying artifacts when I imported my first obj-model made in wings into moho.

What are these things - or rather - how do I get rid of them?

Thanks in advance

Edit:
Fixed the links... sorry about that...
If you mean the triangles, I'm not quite sure.
Yep. That's what i mean
Nice castle btw
Hehe... thanks :D

Hi,

The links to your obj file and wings file don't seem to work.

If you mean thick outline around the model, click on the layer properties for your 3d layer, and then the "3D options" tab, and make your "Edge Offset" very small. Sometimes I have to make mine "0.0001". I think it depends on how the 3d-scale script scales your object.

If you mean the triangles, I'm not quite sure.

p.s. Nice castle btw. I've been experimenting with castles in wings3d too. :-)

I'm afraid I can't be much help, other than to say that I can see those same triangles when importing into linux version of moho. I suspect it may have something to do with visible faces, or faces that are not part of a closed object, but that's just a guess.

Lost Marble, any ideas?

I looked in the .OBJ file, and there are a bunch of shapes with a lot of vertices. Moho only interprets shapes with 3 or 4 vertices, more causes the sorts of defects you are seeing. In Wings, with all of the faces selected, and in face mode, choose Tesselate>Quadrangulate. That will break up the many-sided polygons in to 4 sided shapes and triables for the leftovers. That should solve the problem.
