I'd really like to be able to use AS with a native interface. IMO, custom widgets look pretty bad surrounded by a completely different widget system, and they also cause a bit of a performance hit.

GTK+ and QT are both excellent cross-platform toolkits. Anime Studio would be much improved if it used one of these for its widgets.
