Need help with switch layers...

I have an animation and i have 2 marbles in it and one needs to change faces in the middle of the scene. I made a switch layer with the 2 different faces i want to use in, but i dont know how to change it when i want it to in the scene.
Please help

If I understand you correctly...
Go to the frame in the timeline you want the face to change, then with the right mouse button click on the on the Switch layer. (Your faces should be in the switch layer).
In the popup choose which layer is visible. (It has a checkmark in it.)
Select the one you want.
Every time you want the face (or whatever) to change you have to first go to the timeline where you want the change to be, then with the right mouse button select the layer you want visible from the Switch layer.

You can also do this (some people don't like the right mouse button method):
With the switch layer active in the layers window, select the "Switch Layer" tool in the Tools window. (In the Layer section, bottom row, second from the right.)
Look up in the tool options area at the top of the main window, and you'll see a popup menu listing all the sub-layers. The active sub-layer should be selected in the popup menu. As you play back the animation, the popup menu should update, so you can watch which layer is active as the animation plays back.
