ASP-6 Integrated Lip Sync - What's New?

I'm running ASP-5.5 on a Mac Pro and thinking about upgrading to ASP-6. I've been using Papagayo for lip sync in all of my animations. Although Papagayo is much faster than frame-by frame animation, it's still very time consuming. Smith Micro made a big deal about the "new" Integrated Lip Sync feature with "the powerful AST Production Synch libraries, giving you versatility and accurate lip and mouth movements." Can anyone explain the difference between ASP-6 Integrated Lip Sync and the method of using a switch layer with an audio file as the source data in ASP-5?

In 6 you can use an audio file, then type the text in, then AS theoretically places the correct mouth shapes to go with your audio file.
