trying to get out of this phase i am in i am working on a music video called "working class hero" to the music of the famous john lennon song.

at the moment it is just a lip sync on top of a animated noisy oval. i need some ideas

more how can i expand it into more of a music video instead of just the lip-sync that it is now

That's definitely your part: to have ideas. Nobody can do that for you.

I recommend you have a look at a handful of music videos and see what others do. This might give you ideas enough.

I think it doesn't matter what is it - because this is animation you need a story. So you need some story idea. Ideally you have to create animatics first - sequence of key drawings which represent your story. Well you can skip this step if you can imagine all the story.

I'm thinking about good story for my short now and yet in progress - come up with a good story this is not a simple task... Try some abstract story like set of images with kind of flow transitions. Like in the "I Met the Walrus":

I don't mean this style of drawings, but the idea how scenes are changing each other. I don't know how this style of animation is called....

thats a good idea, i think i know what i am going to do now but i just got my ideas right in my head. i will post again in a bit i am putting this one on hold for a bit because another project needs dealing with but i will be done with the final by the end of the year
