How do you make a character drawing or writting on a paper? How do you animate that?

If you ask about how you can make your characters drawing appear on the paper my answer would be to use layer trail, I'm actually working on a scene right now where a character draws and layer trail works great there. (Due to copyright issues and such I can't show you the scene)
Just animate a layer to follow your pen tip and run the layer trail script.
