Switch layers in Bone layers?

Is there a way to put a switch layer in a bone layer? I'm trés newbie and I'm working on AS5 (not pro). I've finished one short project, and one of the bigger pains to me was moving the mouth switch layer with the face when the body was moving. Is there a way to give that switch layer a bone so it stays with the face but can still switch to the different mouths? I tried the obvious, and it didn't seem to work.[/i]

Read up about "Layer binding" because that's what you do to connect a switch layer or any other layer to a bone in a bone layer.

In a nutshell I think what you'd do is click on the switch layer you want to bind to a bone, click on the BIND LAYER TO BONE button on the left in the toolbar, then click on the bone.
Ha-cha-cha.

Can I bind more than one layer to a bone? I'm trying to bind the mouth to a bone that is already bound to the head. I'm having an issue binding the mouth to that bone, and I think the problem is that the bone is already bound to the rest of the head which is a separate vector layer...is this the case? or am I just over thinking it?

Hmm...make sure the mouth switch layer is within the BONE group of the bone you're trying to bind it to. It should bind to any bone.
Normally you'd bind the mouth to the main HEAD bone to make it move along with the head. But, any bone you wish, whether the bone in question is connected to other bones or not.
Good luck.

That was it...thanks! Sometimes it's hardest for me to find things when they're right in front of me.
