everytime I go on lasso mode to select on something and click on nothing the screen flashes black.

I have seen this too. Sometimes I see what looks like an alpha channel in the flash.

since no one replyed on my other post i'll ask here to get some attention
Every time I add text the very first time after the computer was turned on the program will crash or say "no response" for 1 minute and it will work again. this was same for version 5 and right now i have 6.1 pro... help?
I have windows vista
NOTE: Also this seems to happen more when i go to to draw/text. But it only happens once in a while if i go through "TEXT" through the tools section

I did accidentally type Ctrl-T instead of Ctrl-R and I thought the program had frozen up. It wouldn't do anything for a minute or two until all the fonts had loaded.
