Hey everyone,

So i got the sudden urge to take a break from a few shorts I've been working on, and go back to the basics.

This is a basic walk cycle that I made. No emotion, no character, just the basics of the cartoon human walk that can be learned from Preston Blair's book, "Advanced Animation". It's a great book I'd advise everyone to look at it.

Let me know what you think!

Nice job, man! I've recently been trying to conquer some of the basics that I glossed over when I was just trying to tell a story. The walk cycle is one that still takes me a while to get right!

Nice walk, but the extremes of the arm swings look very mechanical and springy. Maybe faster arm movement in the middle to make way for some ease in/ease out at the extremes?

Thanks for the feed back!

b15: yes, I know what you mean. It took me awhile to get a semi decent handle on the walk cycle. As I said in the original post, I strongly suggest getting that book. It's a big help.

jahnocli: I definitely see what you are saying. I'll make sure to watch for that on future attempts
