The new moho contest has now been launched.
I am the person that will be running the contest, CrAzY Dan!

Our topic has been decided here are the rules and regulations:

1. The topic is: MARBLE/S
This topic MUST be included in your short. Whatever you do with 'marble/s' is down to you.

2. This is probably the most important one HAVE FUN creating your short.

3. The voting will begin after all the entries have been entered. The entries must be handed in before the deadline which is May 5th 2005 at 5:00 pm GMT. So get working!

4. When voting you must download and watch all of the entries to be fair and you are only allowed to vote once.

5. The animation cannot be more than 3 minutes long (this will include titles and credits etc.)

6. The finished animation can be in any file type that you wish as long as it is not complicated to view them.

7. Your animation must be your own idea because we don't want to get in trouble with copyright.

8. You can only enter one animation each and working in groups is okay.

9. The animation must be made in moho but you can draw characters, do voice overs and things like that in other programs.

10. When entering your animation you must include who made the animation and you can include any other stuff aswell. (e.g website etc)

11. Any version of moho is allowed to be used. Full version or demo.

12. The voters will be everyone in the forum who wishes to vote.

13. You will need to post your animations onto a website made by yourself. You can easily make one just for the contest using http://www.freewebs.com

14. If your animation is not entered before the deadline it will NOT be entered!!!

15. Finally, if you have any questions please pm me!

Have fun Moho'ers!!!

@CrazyDan - I'm guessing you meant 'unofficial' contest as an 'official' contest would probably be announced by LostMarble with any attendant prizes, judges and requisite legalese spelled out. :)

I suppose your not so strict with the topic that you can't make it to just one single marble and not marbles.

Bragging rights? There are a lot of creative competitions out there with no prizes at all. I think the 10 second club has no prize (am I wrong?):

For some people, a friendly competition can be a good motivation to bring a small project to completion, rather than just producing endless "motion tests".

Lost Marble isn't really involved.

CrAzY Dan was asking when a new contest would happen, and I just told him that he was free to start one if he wanted to. So the rules are ones Dan chose, and while we aren't the ones running the contest, I would ancourage anyone who is interested to go ahead and participate.

I propose that the contest be extended by at least one week. We've only had two submissions over the course of the contest. Unless, of course, they spring up in the following few days.
