I'm a total NEWB at this animation thing, have drawn cartoons for years, but have never did any animating. So please, be gentle. This is my first clip, playing with movement. Now I need to learn audio and possibly an EDITING program. Does anyone know of a compatible editing program? I had a problem at first with this animation because I had to draw the skull coming up from the ground, having to draw a foreground layer, that would then disappear after the character was out of the ground. I also wanted the character to throw his head out onto the ground, but, found since I had bine rigged my character together, my head was moving while I was raising the body out of the ground. Never did figure out how to fix it, so I used a flowing "spiritual" motion to reattach the head. What I wanted was for him to come out, feel for his head, then reattach it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The easiest way is to have the head in a separate layer and duplicate it. One of these you bind to the skeleton, the other you leave loose and outside of the character's bone layer.
You'd then throw this loose head out onto the ground, animate him picking it up and putting it back on, and then make this loose head invisible and the attached head visible. Just line them up, and no one will notice the switch.
Nice style and first animation, BTW. If you intended it to look like he hit the head to knock it back on, it worked for me.
