Hey, I just wanted to get some opinions and feedback. My career has been in 3d and traditional art. And I have really wanted to get back to the 2d stuff and have been doing some research on the different software out there. I want a software that I can do 2d for web or movie project.

So as I have researched and learned about the value of vector based graphics for web stuff. Also learning the adobe flash player is the standard and programs that support .SWF files.

So my main question is what is the difference or why is Adobe Flash CS4 so praised. It seems all I hear is how great it is. Is it really that great or are there other programs just as good that are cheaper because man it is so expensive.

So comparing Adobe Flash and Anime Studio and other software out there I am leaning towardes Anime Studio but just wanted to get everyones opinions.

Oh I just found a similar thread that answers some of my questions.

If you need interactivity, you'll need Flash, even if you animated in AS. If you just want videos, get AS plus a video editor. Everything else is just a matter of style and personal taste.
