placing audio at different frames

is there a technique to place the soundtrack at a different frame instead of 1.

if there is can you try to explain it to this AS noob

no, you can't. try to edit your audio in another software, as audiacity, add some silent seconds and then import the final file to AS.

Actually the soundtrack doesn't start from frame one, but the first frame of the animation. So you could set the start temporarily to where you need the soundtrack, render that, and then render the first part and combine them in a video editor.

There is a pad sound-script that lets you do this.

now what about the lip sync should i just use papagayo or the AS lip synch

that is up to you.

This is the basic simple lip sync done in AS. It's very easy to set up but not very accurate. If there is any sound besides voices like music or sound effects or more than one voice overlapping it won't work well and won't give you good results.

Papagayo lip sync requires a lot more work. You should have the 10 phonemes and you have to do all the work required in Papagayo. Papagayo is not "automatic".

You should at least try the AS version first to see if it is good enough for your needs.
