Hello,
I'm somewhat new but not completely. I've had a few months of time to work with Anime Studio, but like most noobs, I just jumped right in and tried to do it all at once. I have learned a lot, but now I'm to the point to where I need help from the people who know what they're doing.
I've been working on a cartoon series of my own, and instead of just jumping in I'm taking the time to plot it,script it,storyboard it, and really take some time to learn new animation techniques so i can figue out what will suit the show best. Right now i'm specifically looking for help with a head turn technique that i read about.
I couldn't watch the video for example and it was posted four years ago. They used a simple technique (which was a relief to find amongst the very complex bone setups) and I just wanted to know if anyone could make an example of what they are speaking of and post the anime file.
They say they used two head shots, one front and one completely turned. They simply used the layer rotation tool then changed the shot to the back shot to help create the turn look.

I think i understand the technique, but am having a hard time getting it to look good. So if anyone could help me out..that'd be amazing :D

It'd probably help if you posted a link to the technique you're talking about. Quick descriptions don't always explain it.

Here's a quick example using images. I think this is what he was talking about, though without seeing it I can't be 100%. This could look much better with just a little point motion using vectors.
