Sasha The 1st was just a story concept in the back of my mind that I would visit during quiet times. Then one day, while working on another cartoon, she came forward and said, "Make something about me." And she wouldn't leave me alone until I did something. So, here it is! (Say nice things or she'll come looking for you.)

The actual Sasha character is the Eartha Kitt character from "Santa Baby", Stripped down and rebuilt in AS-Pro. The original character was constructed using the old MOHO 5.0 program. I took advantage of the new AS-Pro updates, such as the Sasha's dress which moves more naturally than the Eartha Kitt version. Sasha was also re-boned and her walk improved with layer reordering.

I tried to get away from the AS-Pro look. So that someone might not be sure if AS-Pro was the principal program used. I only did this in certain scenes. Because if nothing else AS-Pro can be a time saver on big projects.

The story concept itself is too vast for me to pull off by myself. I haven't the time or resources to do it. Although I would still like to finish it someday.

So, enjoy "Sasha The 1st" and tell me what you thing. (Remember, Sasha will be watching you.)

Your animation, drawings, backgrounds and colors are really great.
I specially liked the anime girl, she moves very nice, and the camera movements in your others videos look terrific too.

Great job.
Keep it up!

Cheers!

Actually, it wouldn't do anyone harm to take a couple of semesters of cinematography (if they haven't done so already), like I did. It helps me compose a scene correctly, to show what's important and what to leave out. Especially in horror films where what you don't see can be more important than what you do see!

The zoom out is choppy what happened that caused that?

I suggest to do away with the "walk like an Egyptian" head side to side bobbing.
Since her legs are taking dainty narrow steps you should let the arms sway a bit more. She's a bit stiff.
The assassin's head would look more natural if it was less to the side.
I was surprised that the Enterprise appeared suddenly, a more entertaining effect would have it appear from behind the planet and on a curved path, it can still do that with one ship image.

But it's worth working on, the artwork is solid, and it seem like an interesting story and that's a good foundation already.

And I agree the AS look can be distracting at times but you did pull it off without that distraction.

That scene was actually two separate anime files that I rendered and put together in MS Movie Maker.

The head movement was left over form the original character, Earth Kit. I didn't bother to change it because I was working improving the walk with layer ordering.

The only reason the Enterprise is there at all, is because it was the only spaceship image I had at the time. Even the planet is that of Mercury.

Because of your and others interest and that of my friends, I'm going to redo the entire opening sequence. But this time there will be a story to help drive things. I've even asked some of my friends help design new character, PREBOT: Personal robot to Sasha the 1st. GENERAL PANTHERA: Commander of all of the Orion forces. Plus endless number villians and bad guys.

It's going to be a big project, bigger than anything I've ever done. Wish me luck, I'll need it.

Those camera movements and cityscape were very impressive it is clear you know exactly what is going on there ( a rare thing these days).
I would love to see this completed.
Please ditch that enterprise ASAP though, it does you no favours, I myself felt profound disappointment upon its appearance.
4 stars.
