illustrator file

I am importing these illustrator files and notice that once rendered the lines get thicker.. either moho is inserting an outline over my illustrator outlines..
is there anyway to diable it or remove the outline.
Also we found.... we are unable to select nodes within an illustrator object thats been imported. it can only select the nodes outside. tried using the lasso tool.. this works but then you will have to start the selection outside and work your way between the outside nodes.. i am unable to just make a selection within the object..
