Hello dear animation people,
I am trying to mask off the neck of this character when he moves his cheek bone down. But I am not sure how to do this exactly. When he moves the cheek down I want to be able to see the background of the scene. ant not his neck. :)

All help is very welcome,
thanks,

Create a mask that covers the neck and put it just below the neck in the layers window. bind it to the neckbone. set it to add to mask, invinsible.
Next, create a mask covering the top of the jaw and the area above it, bind it to the jaw bone. Set it to subtract from mask. Put it below the neck layer.
Set the neck to mask this layer and all other layers to don't mask.
Done.

Or, manually bind one or two points on the top of the neck shape to the jaw bone. Then, when the jaw moves, the top of the neck will be pulled down with it.

thanks!

thanks all very much. I tried what rylleman told me and it worked great. The other suggestion sounds ok too.
