Hey guys,

Here is one of the latest things we have done. You should see it on Aussie telly around now.

It was a collaboration between us (Tui Studios) and FSM. The acency was DDB.

We designed it, created all the elements and Directed the animation. The guys at FSM animated it in maya.

Anime wasn't called for much in this one, but we did use it to create animation guides for the 3D dudes.

Very impressive.

I suppose the greatest compliment is to say one watches it over and over again, and downloads the higher-res version.

There's so much to relish here--color, pacing, composition, and so on. The characters are quite good but the art direction and special effects are the real stars.

To top it off, there's so much fluid grace in the choreography of the effects layers.

Too bad the copy-writing detracts from the spectacular visuals. Clearly, the advertiser is trying to drum a message about cardiac care into the viewer's head--but referring to the enemy as "heartless" and "having no heart" (courage?) undercuts the message.

Not once but twice--and so needlessly.

I do envy the lucky clients, though.

Yeah, the sfx was an important part. It was almost a character in it self. They are really useful when trying to create depth. We also used them for story ... petals - for happy times... ash - for scary times.

As far as the art direction goes... this is where compositing comes in. Compositing makes it look expensive... plus its generally quite quick and its fun!... its my favourite part.

That was beautiful! It's great to see you guys create consistently good work, and considering you didn't animate this, proves that you obviously have the IDEAS... and that's always the most important part!
