Quicktime still crashing AS

After installing the new 5.6 AS I was hoping that the Quicktime bug for the Mac would have been fixed. I am still getting bad crashes any time I try to export a Quicktime movie file. I don't mind running out image sequences but sometimes when you just want to check something it's a real pain.
Is this still a problem for others?
