I am making a short cartoon and i need to add an extra drawing, but i want it to appear in a later frame not through the whole thing. Then i need to know how to take it out of the cartoon without deleting it from the whole thing.

Create your image and set the frame to frame 1. At frame 1 double click the layer you want to appear later, and uncheck the box labled "visible". Go to the Frame you want the image to appear at and then check the box labled visible. now that image will be invisible until the chosen frame.
