Does anybody know how to delete a Moho layer with a LUA script?

(Sorry if it is in the manual and I have missed it!)

The work around I have used up to now is to create a temporary group layer, put all the redundant layers into that group layer. Then when the script has finished, manually delete the temporary group layer.

Actually, there is no Lua command to delete a layer. Why does your script need to delete a layer? Is there no way to implement it without needing to create these redundant layers?
