Anyone know how can I match a color to a shape that I have already created that I did not get the exact color from originally?

Currently no color picker in AS. Render your work, save as jpg. Under swatch choice, Load the render and pick the same color.

Or you could hilight the shape and then go to the color picker and copy and paste the hexadecimal number into the shape you're trying to match colors with.
You might want to see this thread that may help explain.

You can also select a shape and press the "copy" button in the style palette. Select the new shape and click "paste" in the style palette.

Or better yet, copy the style, create a new named saved style and paste. Then you have that style to apply to new shapes when ever you need it.

Or better still, use the free Color Cop program - really good with some nice options like 2,3,5 pixel averaging.

Download here

I was just going to say that there are stand alone color pickers.

I am most terribly sorry to have stolen you thunder. I have color Cop permanently housed on my task bar - one of the most useful tools around.

That's a good choice for PC users but here's one for you Mac users.
I just downloaded it and it will give the hex number to copy and paste from anywhere.
So, if you have an image (on your desktop or another app) that your working on and need a color from it just use the picker to choose your color.
then get the hex number and paste into ASP color picker. All for free. Oh BTW, the one is simply the OS x color picker integrated with Hexcolorpicker

Thanks everyone. I am still really new with this program and it looks like this site is really going to help. I hope to be around for a while. I will keep you all updated as I get better. :D
