We went t see a fireworks display the other night and it got me playing with Genete's particle template.

viewtopic.phpt=10072&highlight=fireworks

These fireworks can be rendered out as an swf file and still look quite ok. I added a changing colour in the outer sparkles and some inner explosion trails.
For extra effect, use a brush on the inner explosion lines. This option however will not render out in the swf format.

Quite cool!
But would be better if the shooting point were different each time.
Congratulations!

Cool! They look real "cartoony" too, which most firework effects don't... Thanks for sharing.

Yes, shooting is more random. But I meant change the exploding place each time...
Add a new particle layer on top with one or two particles inside?...

I'm not sure how you could randomize the point of exlosion each time? Would that require a script of some sort?

Try this:

It is strange, but the internal animation of the particles are out of sync when they are inside another particle layer...

Maybe a bug?

I would never had thought of putting a particle layer inside a particle layer!!!....Brilliant idea Genete! :)

It would be nice if there was some control over how the particles appeared...some of the fireworks tend to be going off on one side as opposed to another till you get to around frame 70. Still a great idea!
