For this to work on a Mac
install the original Papagayo 1.1 source
and then copy the PapagayoMOD source files on top of that
(so that they overwrite the old ones)

You also need the P ython Imaging Library (PIL) package
from here (if it is not already installed):

that should do the trick

BTW it seems that the wxP ython package wasn't installed correctly.
try to uninstall it and re-install it.

P.S. Unfortunately I do not own a Mac to confirm

I'm a new user to papagayo. Could not get 1.2 to work on opensuse 10.2 due to wx not being found even though I'm certain it's installed. Perhaps it's because it's py-thon 2.5.

At any rate, thanks for your mod. I couldn't get the download link to work for the linux files but I was able to get the windows exe to run under wine. Dragging phenomes and words that already exist on the waveform works. Dragging phenomes from the left list to the waveform doesn't. There's a lot of flickering on the screen that goes on. Also, I'm not sure if I am supposed to be able to edit the Xsheet but it would help if I could.

No you are not supposed to edit the XSheet
(although one should be able to),
sorry for that but i didn't have time.
As for the Drag-and-drop ,
it is implemented differently under win32 and under linux and it gave me a hard time to get it to work.
(even though in your case it doesn't)

Anyways, since alot of people had problems with the ports
if I find some free time,
I am seriously thinking of re-writing papagayoMOD in Java.

and for those who are impatient,
the only thing I can guarantee you is that it will NOT happen
before september.

There is no file there is there another host beside oxyshare to download this file? OyxShare just doesn't work for me as a download host.

I had a massive computer failure so lost this program and had to dig to find it again. This should totally be a sticky topic. It has some really handy features for large projects. Just my 2 c.

Sorry to revive this old thread.. I am a noob to this forum looking for help on Papagayo.

I have been using PapagayoMod 1.3.5 for about two years. Wanted to try and tweak a few things in the python source code.
The binaries I have.. but the two links to the source code are no longer good. DivShare and OxyShare dont have it.

Did anyone make a back up of the work nassosy did? This would truly be appreciated if you could find that file.

This program has found some new life to animate mouths in light shows. If anyone is interested I can tell you about it.

If the files have a .pyo extension I think I have it.
papagayoMOD_1.3.5.3_win32.rar file at 4.63 meg seems to have all associated files.
