I also noticed that some of the PNG files I upload on other forums come up as PNG. Like, I made this one mugshot sprite yesterday on my own computer that uploaded just fine, but these sprites I made a month ago before this problem arose on my moms computer uploaded as Jpegs. Why is this?

I don't know why this is. You could try a registry cleaner program, that might fix it. If this problem persists, you could try contacting Smith Micro tech support.

Uploading images to forums can be funny. Some take the files as they are, others convert and resize everything.

Mom said she cleaned out registries last week, but I don't recall.

Anyway, it seems to be working now. Thanks guys! :D

Jonbo,
I'm also trying import image components to assemble, bone, and animate a character. So far so good through a preliminary version of that. I've got some animation going and I now want to use the "Follow Path" tool to get some movement but its not behaving anything like Tutorial 4.1 indicates that it should. That Tutorial states that, after selecting the tool, "***the path appears in the scene
after you select the Follow Path tool. Click the path in the scene
to reposition the object to the beginning of the curve.
You can click and drag left or right with the Follow Path tool to
position the object along the curve at any point."***. None of what is described happens. What I get instead is a new cursor which looks correct but, when I left click, right click, or Alt and click, nothing hapens. Also, no "path appears in the scene". QUESTION: What am I doing wrong???

Hey Bob, you need to draw a path on its own layer first. Take a look at this demo I 've done, it should help answer your question.

Jonbo,
Many thanks for your answer :D Your YouTube video demo was outstanding and I'm sure that, when I try it, you will have solved my problem. That will allow me to go on to the next problem so I expect that I'll be back.
Thanks again.

Jonbo,
Following your lead with the demo, I've tried to find the Follow Path add tool. I don't see set of icons that I saw on your demo from which you started up the Follow Path add tool on my screen. I'm using Anime Pro 8. I've poked around looking for something that would launch the menu like the one I saw in your demo with the Follow Path add icon but can't find anything. QUESTION: How do I launch the Follow Path add tool menu?

Hey Bob, you misunderstood that tool. That tool I used is just a custom drawing tool script I've got installed. I liked using it because it has multiple points. You don't need it to use the follow path tool. You can create your path with the add points tool, the free hand tool, or even any of the shapes like circle or square etc.

Got it. Thx. I understand but something is still missing. On a separate layer intended for the follow path, I added 5 points using the Add Point tool, selected them, set the Timeline to frame 0, and then tried to use the Follow Path tool to activate the points. I tried clicking on each indvidual point with the latter while in Frame 0 but nothing happened. QUESTION: What am I missing?

Okay Bob, try this. With the free hand tool, draw out a simple path on its own layer. Now select the layer you want to follow that path in the layer palette and select the follow path tool. Click on your path where you want it to start. The layer origin should move to that point. Go to another point in the timeline and left click drag left or right and your layer should move along the path. It sounds like maybe when you used the add points tool, you just added the points and didn't drag out a line with them.

Jonbo,
I created a simple path on a separate layer, named "Follow Path" below, and selected the path points. When I selected the layer and that I want to have follow the path, "Skeleton" below, and selected the Follow Path tool, the points are not visible on that layer. The layer stack looks like this...
Bone - Skeleton
Image - Head
Image - Torso
Image - Left Foot
Image - Right Foot
Vector - Follow Path

Jonbo,
NOTE: The Image layers are sub-layers within the Skeleton layer. My indentures didn't take when I posted my last reply.

Make sure the path layer isn't inside the bone group. Are the points on the path layer connected?
