I'm not sure the software update alone will do a lot. But it will allow me to install some custom modifications to help fight the SPAM.
Also, the new button to report posts will help. If you see a SPAM post, please report it - it's much faster for the moderators to look at flagged posts than to browse through all the forums and sub-forums looking for new SPAM.
