Beta testers are humans, as all Smithmicro team. Actually most beta testers are people of this forum who has shown to be very talented and sharp. It's a very weird bug, since it has nothing to do with the new features. Generally beta testers are dedicated to new features, and I'm very sure they squeeze them.
Personally, I'm using Anime Studio 7 for several projects so far and never noticed the bug. I'm not a big fan of switch layers, so I don't use them a lot.

I'm sure SmithMicro will put online a new version with this and other bugs fixed. All we can do right now is still working and testing. If you find a new bug, please post it on bug section. If you need help with your file, just ask here, I know some people can downgrade the version of a file by editing it with notepad. Maybe that could help you meanwhile the bug is fixed.
Of course, if I can help you myself, just ask. I believe that is the value of this community, we are here to help each other and to propose ideas to make a better software. I feel better being a consumer which can propose and understand the mistakes, be useful to the fixes. I try to treat people as I would like to treat me, here or wherever.

I really didn't pay any thought to this thread until I was doing a head turn and I could not get the head to turn back to frontal after I switched to side. Good thing I didn't remove AS6 yet. It works in AS6.

I tried to import the head from AS6 to AS7 but it still glitches.

I hope this gets fixed soon. In the mean time I will have to use AS6 for animating which is not so good for me as my version of AS6 is debut :( :(

I'm still having fun with Physics and curve profile though. :D :D

P.S. Is there any chance SM will let me download AS6 Pro since I bought AS7 pro until they can fix this, Maybe give me a 90 trial on AS6 pro?

P.S.S I found a way for me to use the switch layer to do head turns. I just put a lot of switch layers into a master switch layer and just do a lot of duplicating layers for each turn. Its kinda confusing for me to do but it worked.

Found new bug in the switch layer.
Here, the example file:

I hope it can be fixed soon, it's a BIG BUG for me, I use many switches with many groups and many vectors inside it!

The bug is only in version 7, Anime Studio 5 or 6 works fully.
Sorry, I forgot to say it before...

In few words, if you put two or more group layers into a switch one, only the first's content layers will be showed up.

A little explanation:

Switch layer
|
|
--Group one
| |
| |
| --Layer 1 (Showed if selected)
--Group two
. |
. |
. --Layer 2 (NOT Showed if selected)

You can add more group layers, the result are ever the same.

Here, an example made in AS Debut 6. If you load it on version 7, the bug happens!

Uhm... So the bug "works" in that way...
But in Anime Studio 5 and 6 I don't have to switch layers to modify them, I simply click on it in the layers window and it will appear automatically.
Your workaround will be good for small projects, but if I have to modify many layers, it will steal much production time.

Oh, I'm sorry.
Have you found anything in the switch layer settings?

You can move the groups down(OUTSIDE THE SWITCH LAYER). To view them.

Sorry for what?
Your workaround is good, but Smith Micro MUST fix the bugs... This time the switch layers as got the "Meanie Role" of the situation.

About the switch layer settings, what do you mean? You found something else not working?
