Well it's about 97% complete. I think it works pretty well. A few tweaks to do. Mostly spacing and some "simplification".

I may bump up the resolution of the brushes. I made them really huge but at very very large resolution renders the brushes do have a bit of a soft edge.

I would say that 99% was done entirely in Anime Studio. Very little photoshop tweaking needed at all.

I couldn't use brushes for all of the "woodcut" strokes. Brushes have a bit of an issue. You can't go less than 0 for spacing. This means that there is no way to get really really long thin brushes. You are limited by the square shape. In those places where I needed long thin shading lines I simply drew strokes with variable widths. Also in some places shapes are filled with white or black and I used black or white stroke shapes.

Overall I am pleased with the technique... the stroke limitations regarding spacing is a bit of a drawback though.

Heyvern, the first image conveys the impression that the photographer is absorbed in taking pictures. He is stepping over 'anything' in his way. Without the scenery the black and white images suggest the photographer is running. As an observer I think the first is a passionate photographer while the second is athletic.
