digitalartguru wrote:Hello Folks,

Has anyone purchased the Anime Studio video course at Animationtrainer.com? I am trying to decide if I should invest in it as a gift to someone.

How is the training? Is it pretty basic or advanced?

If you are familiar with the training, I would appreciate any input. I need to know before I can recommend it to someone.

Thanks!
I certainly do not wish to downplay anybody's attempt at teaching someone how to use this software, but I purchased it just yesterday, and am tremendously disappointed with it. The character that these tutorials take you through is very very simplistic. I've found much better free tutorials on youtube. I found these very helpful: http://www.youtube.com/user/PARKERx87

The course claims to have you up and animating in as little as two weeks, but within the course offering, there is actually very little animation going on. In retrospect, I wish I had saved my money.

Most commercial tutorials are for beginners. I will post intermediate and advanced tutorials on my blog this week.

Here is a walk I made with ASP

Some tuts on how I did it.

Cant wait Gcharb. That's pretty good.
As far as the animation trainer thing that I did buy, I now have gotten access to the bonus material, and it does look pretty good, although I have not yet had a chance of working on it. Altogether, I am pretty satisfied with what I got. As far as your tutorials Gcharb, I just watched your Youtube walking cycle. excellent. Very helpful.
