I'm using this technique a long time ago and this really works because I'm obssesed in use the FEW number of points/bones in my designs... only a problem/limitation for me is that if you use the Line Width tool in any point all the outlines take the same width and only the top shape is vissible

...I'd love that the width tool works in consonace of the width of the shape for that you can get results like this:

Oh, I think I understand. A set of points can have more than one outline and fill. I didn't know that.

Yeah. It can be useful. For instance you can have two different outlines. And thus you can have one side of a sphere with a brush as an outline, the other as a solid variable width line. Brings up some interesting effects options.

Or you can just create strange animations, like
this SWF, which isn't even weird.
