Imago,
Try these changes.
- Put the shadow behind the building - the sun is on the front wall.
- The building is IN the ground not ON the ground - so the building should "sink" a little.
- The junction of the path to the building will be different the higher ground around it.
I took the liberty of messing with the image.

By "the feel" I mean it causes a good emotion in the viewer. Don't change it so much you lose that. Rhoel's changes keep the emotion.

Ah! Thanks, Rhoel! It looks much better than before!
In the meanwhile I decided to re-do the whole image with different POV, but I will keep "your" modified image for other scenes. I will put your name on titles!
So, no problem with mods!
The problem with the sun is... There is NO sun!
The light come "from somewhere"... I think you noticed the pink sky, it's a "parallel world" with no sun...
