ASP 7 pro 3D layer thickness not working. (solved)

Laying out my walls for a 3D house, I select extrude in the 3D options. The wall is about 3 times the thickness I need so I adjust the 'thickness' in the style window all the way down to 0.0010 - alas the wall is still the same thickness.

Aware that it may look different when rendered, I preview but no, it looks the same.

Are you sure you have the shape selected when changing the thickness?
Use the "select shape" tool (Q), and click on the shape and alter the thickness to see if it helps.
