Mr. Banana Adventures

Post by Genete »

Hi!
I'm working on an animation based on a character created by my 10 years old son.
I want to follow the classic steps:
1) Storyboard
2) Animatic
3) Sound and voice recording and video composition
4) Tracing in Vector Animation
5) Render and post production

The storyboard is on going and I have enough material from the work of my son (25 A4 size comic pages and counting...). So I'm working now on the animatic.
Here is the progress I have:

I will do the animation using Synfig. If someone is interested on join to work with me, please contact with me by email.

Here is a page of the comic:

EDIT: the author of the original drawings has asked me to not make them public. Sorry. Peace.

Just had a quick look at the first one. I quite like the look of it. Will check out more later.

Ha, cute. I think you may give Mikdog a run for his money. :D

A 25-page comic from a 10-year-old? Very talented and dedicated for his age.

MR. BANANA IS AWESOME!

I'd dig to animate this as a story. Really has instant appeal for me. Your son's drawings rock and I really dig the animatic. Something nice about using the original material in the animatic; the whole thing is brimming with charm.

@neeters: thanks for the comments. Yes, I'm impressed by the amount of imagination from my son too. I just have to buy more paper and pencil :)

@Mikdog: I'm gald you liked it! but this is my son's idea and he is a little upset that someone else wants to animate it. Also he is doing it a s school project and he asked me to stop sharing on the internet till the final episode is made. My apologies for the inconvenience. It was my mistake for post it here without permit even ask for help :(
I'm removing all the youtube videos and the images according to orders of the copyright holder of the material: my son.

Please don't misunderstand me. I won't animate it, its just the kind of project that appeals to me. I have enough work on my plate as it is ha ha.

I wouldn't be worried about sharing stuff though. Your paranoia can get the better of you, although all due respect to your son - it is his work after all.

Good luck to you and your son with the rest of this project! I look forward to seeing it even in the animatic form.
