Only want to give you encouragement to continue learning animation.
Recommendations:
1) Start with simple sticky characters (more simple than that one, really sticky)
2) Play with it to produce "poses". Try to extract emotion from it although it is only one stick character. No animation. Only poses.
3) Once achieved try to use different poses along the timeline. Change the poses timing to achieve credible animations (YOU control the sticky character not Anime Studio!)
4) Once taken the basis just explore the rest of capabilities of this amazing program (drawing, effects, etc.). And don't forget to read all the built in help and do the all the tutorials.
