Alternative "Getting Started" Tutorials

The official Moho tutorial videos just aren't working for me. They're software oriented, not project oriented, so they do very dull things in most of the segments, and keep talking about options they don't particularly use, which makes them easy to tune out of. The voiceover is also a bit irritating too. They're clearly made for and by developers, and don't feel engaging enough to people who learn differently, or certain kinds of artists. Has anyone else thought that, or is it just me? I'd love to see an alternative guide that starts with drawing actually interesting things, and animating them and building on extra features in interesting ways. Lots of the other seminars can end up talking about lots of options without really demonstrating things that well, either.

But also I'd just love a project book instead of videos. I'm getting a bit sick of Youtube videos with monotonous voices, or extremely strong accents that are hard work to listen to or understand in some places, or even worse, AI voice-overs. They all feel like an extra layer of hard work over something that isn't easy on its own. It's great software, but just getting started with it feels impossible. Is there a good course or book anywhere that might work?

There's not much there yet, but I tried to pack a lot of practical info in each video. I try to keep the presentation fun, too!

We're changing the format to make these tutorials faster, so expect to see more frequent uploads soon. Some upcoming topics are Smart Bones, Binding Methods, and part 2 of our popular Let's Draw Vector Art In Moho series. These are all 'basic' topics, but we have 'expert' tips and tricks videos in the works too. (I've used Moho for TV animation production for about ten years, so I have a lot of info to share.)
