Hi guys how do i make objects float like in low gravity?
So im kinda new to moho, im just wondering how to make objects float like in low gravity, i tried using physics but apparently it doesn't do low gravity. Im just wondering the best way to go about this? Im trying to animate a space rocks floating away when a rocket hits it.
Any help will be greatly appreciated thank you

No substitute for just animating in this case.

Ahh okay wasn't sure if i was being stupid with the physics section. But Thank you for the reply
thay gif is exactly what I want
Re: Hi guys how do i make objects float like in low gravity?
Zero gravity physics in Moho? Sure...Bicknell1999 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2024 12:30 pm ...i tried using physics but apparently it doesn't do low gravity.

Just dial Gravity Magnitude to zero (no gravity,) and give the moving object some speed.
That said, as Wes noted, it's no big deal to keyframe this animation and you'll have more control over exactly how it should look.
Now, if what you want is a dozen asteroids bouncing off each other...hmm, brb.

This is mostly the same setup, just more boxes, and I selected half of the boxes at random and doubled their Springiness.

That's brilliant, Dennis. I looked at the physics a bit but didn't immediately see how to accomplish that.
My mistake was thinking I needed bone physics, instead of just typical layer physics.

Felt like playing with this a bit more:

An interesting side effect of using shading for the physics group layer is that as rocks near each other you get a light reflection effect on their shadow side. More noticeable on the lighter colored rocks.

Great solution and good observation on the light changing during simulation .
Re: Hi guys how do i make objects float like in low gravity?
I almost forgot: I'm posting our latest Moho cartoon here because this thread was an inspiration for it.
I used the technique I talked about earlier to animate the asteroids seen throughout this short.

Are these images bitmap? I tried bitmap with physic but it does not work at all. I tried adding mesh layer to them too, and it does not work either. Can you share the technique?synthsin75 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2024 7:57 am Felt like playing with this a bit more:

They are image textures on vector shapes.Panha wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2024 10:16 amAre these images bitmap? I tried bitmap with physic but it does not work at all.
