I cant figure out how to mask this correctly so that the shape doesn't spill unto the outline.
Here's an image with the layer order i have. If you open the image in a new tab you can see the whole thing
I've seen that sort of thing before. With me, it usually has to do with how I've nested my Groups and masks. Generally, I avoid trying to mask masked Groups--the results can get unpredictable for the display and even the final renders.
Without seeing how you've set this up, I can suggest two things:
1. Try to simplify the masking. By 'simplify', I really mean making the task easier for ASP to handle. This may actually mean creating more groups and each with their own masks.
2. Or, you can create another layer that has only the outline and not the fill to go over the region where elements break the edge.
In a few situations, I've had to do either one of the above and sometimes both in the same character.
Just to be sure, you should check what the final render (CTRL+R) looks like. Sometimes the error is just a display error and the final render may be perfectly fine. In these cases, I just ignore the display error while I'm animating.
Hope this helps.
