Shortcut keys for New Layer

I'd like shortcut keys for creating a new layer.

Out of habit (from using Photoshop), I'm always pressing Shift-Command-N to create a new Vector Layer. It would be neat if those keys DID create a new layer.

Yes, skipping some mouse movements is good for the most programs. My support.
