Grid moving with layer

Anyone know if the grid moving/scaling with layer problem was fixed or if there is a workaround?

I still import a screenshot of a grid if necessary.

Yeah, but You cant snap to those!

Well, I rarely use the grid with snapping - only if I really need to distribute elements very evenly.
