I am creating shapes with vector layers and then other vector layers on top it for very detailed shading effects for the main shape. My question is...is it possible to make these two layers stick together so they wont come apart and so when you manipulate points on the main(bottom) layer, the shading(upper) layers follow automatically?
**I am aware that if I put these in a group layer I can move them together, but I am wanting to be able to move points on the bottom layer and have upper vector layers follow.
thanks
Is it Possible to stick Vector layers together?

It's now exactly what you want, but you could try Fazek's meshinstance script:
viewtopic.php?t=3507 (there are newer version somewhere)
Now, why don you just bind the points of that layers to a bone? That move all them together. Also, if you need specific point movement, you could create an independent smart bone and it could move the points the way you want.

In the same idea, seriously is it not possible to move layers together in edition mode, like select them all in the layers window and move them as one?
Exemple, i work on a new technique of head turn and I've created a character whose every teeth are on different layers, because my construction need that to give an impressive illusion of 3D, but I let you imagine the nightmare to animate without a tool to move layers together.
In all cases it should be an improvement to integrated into the next version of the program.

Why not try it for yourself and see? (Hint, since v8 at least.)Lychee wrote:In the same idea, seriously is it not possible to move layers together in edition mode, like select them all in the layers window and move them as one?
