No UNDO limit control in ASP 9?

I just purchased ASP and noticed i can't find the UNDO limit setting in the app. Is there not one? I searched in the manual and in the forum and couldn't find anything on it. After 9 incarnations of this program there's only 10 - 15 undo levels??? If so that's bogus in 'this day and age'! Anyway, thanks for the frustrating answer i just know you're going to give .

If you need 15 levels of Undo you seriously should rethink your workflow.

Lol, i KNEW somebody was going to say that. But no seriously, i for one am a newb so it would indeed be helpful for me. Also i'm just used to hitting it a lot in other apps since naturally the trend of the day with most software is controllable undo/redo. But yeah apart from that 15 or so would be fine. It's it real drag for us lazy and inexperienced users but i'll learn it eventually and try to help out some here on the forum as well. I like it so far. Blessings..

Some tips from someone with 20yrs of experience with computer graphic design:
1. Think before apply.
2. Make copies. Make copies often, of files, layers, whatever.
3. Do backups.
4. Keep your computer in good health.
5. Keep notes. On paper.
6. Name your stuff.
7. Organise your stuff right from the start.

We grew up with Photoshop having only 1 undo. It's all a matter of behaviour.

Yeah i know and you're indeed right. It's just im "used to" driving a car (unlimited undos) instead riding a horse (1 undo). Both get you to were you're going , only one gets you there faster, yet speed isn't everything. I'll "change my behavior" and try to slow down a bit.

No, your right. Most programs do allow you more undo's and probably AS should by now also, but OTOH most people will tell you the more undo's the more memory that is consumed. So as with most software there is a suggested max to use. For AS I guess its 15.

Yeah i know, i just don't believe in arguing. We're both right actually. It's what you get used to. Slowtiger's right in that most intermediate and advanced users only need a small amount of undos, but for newbs like me, unlimited undo (or a controllable undo feature) helps a lot. In keeping with technology though, the modern day trend is softwares which have a controllable undo feature, since todays PCs can indeed house up to 32 gigs of memory, as well as just progress in general. I mean you don't hear C programmers saying "we don't need all that C++ programming", we're just fine with what we've already got here. But in all seriousness, since ASP has only 15 or so undos, i'm no doubt forced to change my behavior - either that, or pull my hair out screaming 'i surrender, i surrender', i'll go back to playing music for a living

I can count on one hand how many times I needed more than 15 undos. Usually after I had a few beers and try and get creative and totally wreck havoc on my characters and at that point I just close the program without saving and start over later.

LOL, before i drifted over to drawing/animation i did the same thing with my DAW software; hardly ever used the undo.
