Drumming animation (K-ON!)

I'm doing a short parody and this is something that came to mind-

it's not finished animation wise

like drum movements and messing with some other things but meh

I did this mostly to work on timing to see if I could do it

The timing looks spot on. Are you adding body and head animation in the final version?

yup eventually along with the drums rebounding etc and hands so it doesn't look so robotic

mikdog has to be one of the best at synchronizing animation to a beat. I am not an expert but making a click track is a good first step. I count the beats per minute in the music and generate a click track in Audacity. I get it as close as I can then open it up in AS and move the keyframes around to refine it even more. I match the animation to those keys. This method works for me and I hope it helps.
