I've done a bit more testing, and have found the following, which may be helpful in fixing the bug I mentioned in my first post above: If you have a layer that is set to be invisible at frame 0 or 1, and then made visible later in the animation, it is not output as a Flash symbol, even if the layer ...

Done and done. I've emailed you a couple of .moho files that exhibit the problem. Thanks!

5b3 OSX: Switch Layers not exporting as Flash symbols

I've noticed that when I export a flash animation that has a switch layer, the shapes in the vector layers used by the switch layer don't export as Flash symbols, even though the layers are vector optimised.

I also like the special handle idea, but I totally understand LM's concerns about the complications such a solution creates. Personally, I wouldn't mind having to use a hotkey (like CTRL+drag), because I'm used to using hotkeys a LOT in Moho. I use them for all major operations, so having one more w...

Suggestion for adjusting start and end frames

I like the new ability to specify the start and end frames in the project preferences. Might I suggest adding the ability to adjust these on the timeline by dragging the edges of the grey bar that shows what this "render range" is (where the frame numbers are). Don't know how easy this wou...

I also disagree. I've found that video tutorials are much harder to follow than written ones.

One thing to note about this technique: scale compensation doesn't apply to shadows, which means if your animation involves scaling the outlined character, the outline will seem to change in thickness. The effect is similar to what is shown on Moho's Feature Page (look at the scale compensation samp...

regarding the last point (the quicktime warning), you might want to check what the default application for the file is. If it's not set to Flash Player of Safari or something compatible with Flash files, that might be your problem. All of Moho 5b3's Flash exports open error-free for me, and I'm on M...

A question about Flash export

For vector-optimised layers, I noticed that Moho exports a Flash symbol for every shape on the layer. So, if I made a layer with three shapes, Moho would export three symbols (more if I used the Hide Edge tool, or chose to output variable-width lines). This causes a lot of clutter in Flash's Library...

I love the floating windows. To me, they make the Moho 5 interface feel so much more free and dynamic than Moho 4. Plus, since I'm a Mac user, I'm used to playing with multiple floating windows. The single window of Moho 4 just felt weird. I reckon which interface you prefer depends on what operatin...

lol. I'm an idiot. The tooltip for flipping points read "Flip Point H" and "Flip Points V". I read that to mean H and V were the shortcuts, but I realize now it means Horizontal and Vertical. Sorry about that. My reference to "F" in my previous post was a typo.

I noticed the same issue and I'm sure LM will fix it. As a workaround, when I want a constant line width around a shape, I just select all points in the shape, and use the line width tool to adjust all the segments simultaneously.

As an update: this happens for all the Command- shortcuts. (so, pressing Command-R renders the frame, but also activates the Rotate tool)

Also, pressing F and H to flip points doesn't work.

Minor bug when selecting all points

On the Mac beta 3, when I press Command-A to select all points on a layer, Moho also activates the Add Points tool.

Moho 5 Mac beta quirk

I've been playing around with 5b3 on the Mac, and I must say it is wonderful! Excellent work LM! OSX normally uses Command-H to hide the current application, but this functionality is lost in Moho because Moho appropriates Command-H for the "Show Output Only" command. This really cramps my...
