Re: AI -Free text to images and cheap AI that is really useful
For environmental backgrounds it's one of the best ways to get them. Between the two main game engines unity beats unreal hands down. You're right it's a big install but it's not that bad. Unreal is a huge install. The advantages of unity, there are plenty of free environments to download. It has a ...

Re: AI -Free text to images and cheap AI that is really useful
Yes. I think it is free for one a day at a time or 9 dollars a month. I use a separate account with less than 300 dollars for these websites. I use the free https://aicreate.com/text-to-image-generator/ With text prompts. A image to 3d mesh: Don't change the settings. https://huggingface.co/spaces/s...

Re: Wanted: environments for a animated movie. Unity @ Moho
I'm in the process of getting a Unity person to do the unity work. Stay tuned. Hopefully Moho animators coming in the next week. Paid work.

Wanted: environments for a animated movie. Unity @ Moho
A job post from another forum that I posted. I need someone who can do environments in Unity. They will be backgrounds for an animated film. The environments will have huts on plateaus. It could be helpful if you can model also. Post here with images and movies of what you have done in the past if y...

Re: Project Turntable
Somehow I think that this project turntable could be fake. The only way I can see this working is if he took a 2d model expanded into 3D and reduced it back to 2D. Ai is good but it's not quite there yet. The reason why I say this is because I haven't seen any videos of random 2D vector in the turnt...

Re: Vue and Plant Factory now absolutely free
Somewhere on a lost hard drive I have a commercial license for Vue and five render cows. What always amazes me about Vue is that it could take a tremendous amount of Polly's and not crash. Slow down to a snail's pace but it would eventually render out your scene,

Re: I Am Back, Baby!
I'm doing well. I've been retired for some time now. Currently I'm on a winter vacation from New York headed south. I have my Harley and a large camper trailer that I'm pulling with it. Currently I'm at a rest area that says no overnight parking. But the cops haven't told me to move it so I guess I'...

Re: I Am Back, Baby!
I've been working on other projects myself. Men with 3D printing and doing Braille embossing. Right now I'm on a winter vacation. I have my motorcycle and it's pulling a small camper that keeps falling apart on me. When I get home in the springtime I've decided to take some of my savings and put it ...

Re: Bill Plytmpton's Dog Book
That's really interesting Dale. I do a LOT of 3D printing and designing myself but this technique I have never heard of. Thanks for sharing. Cheers. D.K Cura slicer allows you to import PNG files. I used the creality slicer but it's almost the same as cura. The import settings from top to bottom go...

Re: Bill Plytmpton's Dog Book
Have you considered GoFundMe ( and similar ) ..? No, when my mom passed away she left me a little over 50K for taking care of her at the end of her life for 4 years. It was supposed to be split three ways, but Mom gave the annuity all to me. I have two sisters and a nice one got 18 and the other on...

Re: Bill Plytmpton's Dog Book
Hi, I'm using four Ender 3 max neo's. The printer is a Brother laser printer. The embosser is a Irie Braile Sheet 120. The artwork is traced with Moho. Brought into Inscape to get it to size and add the Coordinate array system. Coordinate array system is like a map. Around the edges of the 3D prints...

Bill Plytmpton's Dog Book
Hey, Everyone I got sucked down a rabbit hole and after a year of work I came up with this book.
I'm still doing some animation, but this is taking a ton of my time.

Re: TOON BOOM getting sold to a PRIVATE EQUITY FIRM?!?!
I once had toon boom three I think. It was complete garbage software. The only thing it had to offer was peg system. The Harmony was for studios with deep pockets. They did not offer it to the general public.
