Re: I've got some news...
Great news- like many others I was reluctantly considering whether I needed to migrate to other software, but now I'm sticking around and excited to see where Moho goes in future!

Thanks for posting Victor,
I know the job has been filled, but I will definitely keep my eye open for future opportunities!

Re: Klaus Lighting Tutorial & Moho Lighting
Thanks @alanthebox. Hopefully not too intimidating! If you wanted to simplify this down I think the key ingredients are the base value layer, a single light source gradient and another ambient fill type gradient to fill in the shadows with a bit of bounce light. You wouldn't necessarily need the lig...

Re: Klaus Lighting Tutorial & Moho Lighting
Following the prompting of some people on Youtube I finally got around to finishing my tutorial/overview showing how this lighting method works. I'm definitely no pro Youtuber. rtl5KVs_Fkw youtube.com/watch?v=rtl5KVs_Fkw This is a pretty complex setup, but hopefully you all can get some useful ideas...

Re: Westworld Animated- Old Greyhound
Thanks Barry- It really helped having the reference performance. It gave me a lot of ideas and subtle movements I wouldn't have thought of on my own. Thanks alanthebox- I have been working on a tutorial for my lighting method and I will do one for this after that. It's something I have to squeeze in...

Re: Westworld Animated- Old Greyhound
Thanks Victor! I remember watching Cosmos around the time it came out and I liked the style. Looking at it again now I can see how they would have been restricted by the rigs that they had available. Looks like AE/DUIK to me. That's one of the things that has always appealed to me about Moho- the ab...

Westworld Animated- Old Greyhound
Hi All, Here's a scene I've been working on in spare time over the last little while. It's a recreation of a scene from Westworld, Season 1. ixDSI4s2oTg The purpose of the scene was basically to learn some new things which I did, so I suppose it was a success. I got better at capturing subtle charac...

Re: Klaus Lighting Tutorial & Moho Lighting
Greenlaw- so jealous you got to meet those guys and hear them talk about their process! They did show off a custom program that was really cool. I could be wrong but I always understood it to be MOE and HouDoo custom developed for SPA into KLaS: http://lesfilmsdupoissonrouge.com/logiciels/?lang=en I...

Re: Klaus Lighting Tutorial & Moho Lighting
Thanks @alanthebox I haven't found any issues with Moho running slowly if that's what you mean. It would be interesting to test this concept with a more complex standing rig but I haven't got anything available right now to do that test. I have started to apply this lighting to a more complex scene ...

Re: Klaus Lighting Tutorial & Moho Lighting
eq0q7EGhNV8 So here's an update on the lighting method I've been working on. I realise now this really should be in the Techniques section of the forum so apologies for that. As you'll see in the video there's a lot more control now over how the light works. Here's a screenshot of my workspace whic...

Re: Klaus Lighting Tutorial & Moho Lighting
Hi Victor, In the demo I posted I'm just using coloured shapes for the lit areas. They are rigged and animated with the character bones including the head turn smart bones. Then I'm using smart bones to control Opacity and Blur. I'm also using Screen & Multiply Blending Modes most of the time. I...
