can't resize a layer
I can't resize a character layer. Timeline at 0, when I go to do it, the red box disappears. There is a blue line with dots along it leading from a point of origin.
Other characters resize without an issue. Can someone tell me what's going on here? Thanks!

Re: Is there a way to reset a layer after adjusting it?
I don't mean squashing him down. i mean adjusting him wider. Then I'd like to keep him looking that way as the "new" him... so this is not a timeline thing. The question is simply the distortion that occurs should he, for example.. raise his arms. what I'd like to do is then be able to adj...

Is there a way to reset a layer after adjusting it?
Let's say I have a layer, a bone or group layer containing several other layers. In this case, we'll say an entire character. I want to put some weight on this character. In my current model, this means I've got to widen the drawings in several layers with the transform points tool. I could just use...

Re: why this change in drawing from 10 to 11?
that doesn't help victor. I don't know if it matters, but this is a file I had worked on in ASP10 and converted to ASP11. Seems to be happening in all the files I converted.

Re: why this change in drawing from 10 to 11?
I can select the bone using the bone select tool and hide it manually. then see the points as I am drawing. Is there an easier way to do this that's not such a pain in the rear?

why this change in drawing from 10 to 11?
When I go to the transform point tool, i see the bones. when i hide the bones, using the checkbox above the timeline , i can't see the points. am i doing something wrong? this is uber annoying and makes drawing more difficult. I want to draw without seeing the bones, but i want to see the points..

Re: How do you know what binding method was used?
If you seem to be having problems with any binding, you can release the layer and points, and then start over. after a bit, binding is old hat and you won't be thinking twice about it. when i first started, it took me 2 days to do a character, and it was wobbly at best. now i can pop out 3 character...

Re: Using patch layers
Larry, when I am on a patch layer, only layer binding appears to be available. how do you get at the patch layer points to bind them? that's an interesting technique.3deeguy wrote:medic5678, You can use point binding on the patch in addition to points on other vector layers. Just bind all patch points.

very short hair/stubble.
Let's say you've got a bald guy, but with very short hair on the sides. Like he shaves his head once every week or so. I'm looking for a "spray on" look for head or facial hair, which doesn't modify the shape of the face/head the way a full head of hair or a beard would do. Hoping in the n...

Re: How can I do this?
Of course, every answer breeds another question (and only one if you're lucky)... the question is how to control the bones in the sublayers during animation. I note that when I use the transform bone tool to move the bones during animation, all is fine. when i use the manipulate bones tool to move t...
