What 2D rigged shows do you watch?
Do you watch 2D rigged animation? If so, which ones are the most impressive to you? Or the ones you feel can be replicated in Moho? I know people talk about Hilda, but so much of that is custom poses, I don't even know where to begin sometimes. Star vs. the Forces of Evil seems more doable, and it's...

Re: A Technical Idea for Character Rotation in Moho
There is a script for that by dkwroot if you want to search for it. I'm not sure the last time it was updated though.

Re: Why Moving Bones in Smart Bone Actions Can Hurt Character Rotation
I understand where you are coming from. The way I am currently rigging feet, I am trying to do it more like they do in 3D software. So I can rotate the feet in "3D" space, but have the bones controlling the feet also follow the rotation (both by rotating and scaling the bone) so I can stil...

Re: Invincible animated TV series was made with Moho?
Thanks for linking these videos. I've seen your work on Facebook and Instagram, and it's super cool how you are able to push the software to do those things. I didn't know you had a channel full of tutorials, though. I'll definitely watch them. I do think that the Moho team can still make Moho funct...

Re: Invincible animated TV series was made with Moho?
I never said Moho needs to work on the z axis. In fact, it’s better if it doesn’t. But it DOES need a strong method to handle foreshortening, which I think could be achieved by using the scale of smart bones to mimic moving on the z axis. You shorten the length of a bone and the shapes of the knees ...

Re: Invincible animated TV series was made with Moho?
I think it comes down to heavy rigs being very inflexible, and so the animation feels stiff. I have to admit that as impressive as the rigs are for some of these shows, I usually hate the animations that come from them. I don't know that it has to be like that. 3D rigs can be very complex and still ...

Nested smart bone actions don't work?
I'm confused.
So this works: smartbone --> smartbone --> points
But this doesn't: smartbone --> smartbone --> bone
Has this always been a limitation? I don't think it has.
But I'm running into this with a rig I'm doing right now.
Is this a bug? Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Jim

Re: WIP - Working on a Test Animation
Ah, interesting. I have been taking some character animation classes, finally, and it seems I do have a tendency to overdo certain things, like overshoot, etc. So I figured it was that. But I'll keep all this in mind. Thanks!

Re: WIP - Working on a Test Animation
Thanks Synthasin and Greenlaw! I appreciate it!
Also, thanks Roberto for the critique. Yeah, I probably should work on toning down the wiggling. I'll keep working on it.
Thanks!

WIP - Working on a Test Animation
Hey! This is a little test animation I am working on, using someone else's artwork.
I am planning on doing some FBF rain and ripples, and I'm building a head turn and expressions, etc. But do you all have any feedback? It would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Feature Request: Weight Painting
Has anyone made this feature request yet? Because it seems this should be obvious for a 2D app that's supposed to function like a 3D one.
I want to be able to tell each point how much to be influenced by multiple assigned bones. I think that would be a game-changing feature.
Thanks!

Re: Bug? I can see the liquid shape options, no matter what I do.
Okay, I reinstalled and liquid shapes work now. Super cool stuff, though I hope we don't have to wait two years to get liquid shapes that don't pop around with variable width strokes. That improvement alone would add so much to Moho. I guess it would be called "liquid strokes" because the ...

Re: Bug? I can see the liquid shape options, no matter what I do.
hmmm.... that's what I'm doing. I remember reading somewhere some people talking about old scripts messing up the new Moho? I dunno. I'll try reinstalling in a bit and see if that changes anything, or installing on Windows on bootcamp if that doesn't work.
Thanks Greenlaw,
Jim
