Re: Girl walking loop

Hi sang820!

As always, awesome work!

That's a great presentation format, too. I'd like to try it myself.

Thanks for sharing! 😺

Re: Moho 13

Hmm. I checked my software archives, and was sure I kept a copy of the 13.0 installer for archival purposes, but it wasn't there. Man, I thought I was half-joking, but I guess I really did scrub the release out of existence here. That's not like me, so I must have been very ticked off by it. Sorry. ...

Re: Moho 13

I'm not surprised that Lost Marble doesn't offer Moho 13.0 as a legacy download, since they didn't work on it. Moho 13.0 was developed by a different team at Smith-Micro, and this version wasn't particularly usable for studio production use. For a brief time, it really hurt Moho's reputation, and Sm...

Re: WAY too many points with Freehand tool. Tried Everything.

Yeah, that shouldn't affect things. I do have another tip: If you do want to scale down or otherwise transform the rig, don't do it to the Bones layer. Instead, place the rig in a Group and transform the group. Keeping layer transforms separate from the bones layer prevents potential offset issues a...

Re: Fringe when exporting with Alpha.

I almost never export a movie file from Moho, or any animation program (2D or 3D), for that matter. I prefer to export a PNG Image Sequence. Typically, I render from Moho for composting, so having a clean alpha channel is critical. I do this using Layer Comps and Moho Exporter, even when I'm only ex...

Re: WAY too many points with Freehand tool. Tried Everything.

Oh, cool! I'm glad you were able to track down the problem. Tip: If you're using Link Bones, make sure all layers are also using Link Bones or another discrete binding method, such as Bind Layer or Bind Points. This will ensure you won't see unintended deformation from bones. I'm not sure that's wha...

Re: WAY too many points with Freehand tool. Tried Everything.

Oh, okay...that is weird.

Is this on frame 0 or on an animation frame? If it's on an animation frame, I wonder if the drawing is being influenced by bones, mesh warp, or an action. What happens when it's pulled completely out of the Bones layer?

Re: WAY too many points with Freehand tool. Tried Everything.

I try not to draw too quickly with Freehand. Freehand works by first drawing a bitmap line and then autotracing it as a vector line. This process can get less stable/precise when drawing too quickly. Freehand can also bog down when there are too many points in a shape. When this happens, I might bre...

Re: Linked moho object/layers question

From my testing, there isn't a way to "link" a bone layer reference and ONLY UPDATE NON ANIMATED ATTRIBUTES? You can't update non-keyframeable attributes in a Reference (for example, Bone Strength). Keyframeable attributes and items can be added/edited in the original and updated in the R...

Re: Disable line scale in edit mode (frame 0)

...A bigger screen to draw on might solve the issue. Drawing on a Surface Pro 7 is not that big to draw on. At least for me, anyway. Yeah...I hear ya. I use a Surface Laptop Studio when I'm away from home. I love the portability and drawing on it is generally fine, but I wish the display were just ...

Re: Walk cycle: how to smooth out knee joint snapping?🦵

Sorry, I'm a little late to the party, but here's another tip for future use: Add some Max IK Stretching in the leg bones (Constraints panel), and animate with them slightly stretched when they are fully extended (in other words, raise the COG bone). This will prevent any 'popping' in the knee as th...

Glad to hear it! Sorry, I forgot to post links to the variants of Papagayo. There's the original, a variation by a user here in the forums, and another one by Morevna Project, a group that also makes a variant of OpenToonz.
